Can leaders read my messages?

No. Leaders see aggregated summaries and trends - never individual conversations. Your messages are analyzed by AI to extract themes and sentiment, and the output is always at the organizational level. There is no interface in Canero through which a leader could read what you wrote.

How is my anonymity protected?

Your identity is isolated from your feedback by design - not just by policy, but by architecture. The application serving leaders has no access to the information that links your identity to your conversations. Even if someone tried to access this data, the connection between you and your feedback cannot be made.

What does the AI see?

Accepted Answer

The AI processes your conversation to understand themes and sentiment. Before being sent for AI analysis, your conversation passes through PII detection and scrubbing - names, emails, and identifying information are removed. The AI sees content only, not your identity. It cannot identify you.

Question 4

How long is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Raw conversations are automatically purged after 90 days. Aggregated insights - like sentiment trends and theme movements - may be retained longer, but these are statistical summaries, not records of what you said. You can also request deletion of your data at any time.

Can my manager identify me from my responses?

Accepted Answer

No. Reports require minimum participation thresholds and sentiment diversity before they generate. If your team is small, the report won't generate at all. There are five independent checks, all of which must pass before any report is shown.

Can I delete my conversation before it's submitted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open conversations can be deleted at any time before you close them. Nothing is retained until you explicitly submit. There is no draft that persists without your consent.

What if I'm the only person on my team using Canero?

Reports are only generated when sufficient participation exists. Your responses will not appear in any segment, theme, or organization report until the participation thresholds are met. Until then, your feedback is collected but never surfaced - it simply waits until enough others have participated to protect everyone.

Is my feedback used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. Canero operates under zero-data-retention agreements with all AI providers. Your conversations are processed for analysis and then discarded by the AI provider - they are never used to train any model.
